RESTON, VA — As promised, two alpacas and a goat showed up Sunday to help a Reston couple draw more people to the CVS-sponsored pop-up vaccination clinic they were hosting in their driveway.

The "Alpacas and a Goat" theme of Sunday's pop-up clinic proved to be more of a draw than the "Shots and Brauts" theme of last year's clinic hosted by Kristi Kennard Guidry and Ben Guidry at their Melmark Court home.

Fifty people showed up to be vaccinated on Sunday, which is 10 more vaccinations than the 40 administered in 2020.

Sunday's clinic provided people with the opportunity to receive any of the vaccines CVS offered, including flu shots, pneumonia, shingles, and, if ordered ahead of time, COVID-19.

Kennard Guidry and her husband are both Realtors in the Reston area. As such, they are always looking for opportunities to give back to the community.

"We just try to do something different that people are going to look for and still get a benefit out of," Kennard Guidry said, last week. "This was one that was a lot of fun last year, so we decided we're going to do it again."
