Another 'No Kings' Protest Against Trump Policies Planned In Reston

A second round of "No Kings" protests will include events along the sidewalks of major streets in Reston and Herndon.

RESTON, VA — A second round of "No Kings" protests against the Trump administration will include demonstrations in Reston and Herndon.

Activist groups Herndon-Reston Indivisible and NoVA Childless Cat Ladies will host No Kings 2: National Day of Defiance protests on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 4 to 5 p.m. at street visibility corners in both Reston and Herndon.

"Bring signs. Bring a flag. Bring out your community to the streets to show the world what democracy looks like," according to the organizers.

Participants are encouraged to gather at one of the following locations:

  • Herndon – Corner of Elden Street and Sterling Road
  • Herndon – Corner of Elden Srteet and Spring Street (Downtown)
  • Herndon – Herndon Centre Shopping Plaza (Sprouts/Moms Plaza)
  • Reston – Corner of Baron Cameron and Bennington Woods (near Trader Joes)
  • Reston - Baron Cameron and Village Road (near Lake Anne)
  • Reston – Baron Cameron and Wiehle (near soccer fields)
  • Reston – Reston Parkway and Lake Newport (near North Point Village)
  • Reston - Reston Parkway and Bowman Towne Drive

The organizers encourage attendees to register in advance.

"A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action," the organizers say. "We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. This is a safe, family friendly, local Indivisible event."

A No Kings 2 Sign-Making Party! is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 13, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Reston Regional Library, 11925 Bowman Towne Drive in Reston.
