Find Out What Spring Tastes Like With Davio's Cherry Blossom Cocktail

RESTON, VA — A sure sign that spring is the horizon in the DMV are the cherry blossoms blooming around the Tidal Basin in Washington, D.C. and the thousands of tourists who come to see them.

This year's National Cherry Blossom Festival, which will run from March 20 through April 14 and feature dozens of events around the city.

Davio’s Italian Steakhouse in Reston has crafted a “Davio’s in Bloom,” a cherry blossom cocktail to help sip your way into spring. Priced at $15, the cocktail is available through April 15.

“Infused with delicate cherry flavors and floral notes, this exquisite beverage is the perfect way to celebrate the arrival of spring and the beautiful bloom of the Cherry Blossom Trees,” according to a release.

According to the National Park Service, the peak bloom date is when 70 percent of the cherry blossoms are open. While peak bloom varies annually depending on weather conditions, the most likely time to reach peak bloom is between the last week of March and the first week of April.
