Google To Double NoVa Workforce: Report
Google, which has a Reston office, reportedly announced it will double its workforce in the region.

RESTON, VA -- Google has announced plans to double its workforce in Northern Virginia, according to a report.
Fox 5 reports that Google plans to add a new office and data center as part of a $13 billion expansion this year at locations across the United States, including here in Northern Virginia. The report does not specify where, but Google has a location in Reston.
The investment would lead to 10,000 new construction jobs in Virginia, Nebraska, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas, according to the report.

In addition to uncertainty about the exact location, it's also not clear whether Google would be receiving tax incentives.
Google's move comes just a few months after Amazon's blockbuster announcement that it would place one of its two new headquarters in Crystal City in Arlington, leading to 25,000 new jobs in the area.
