Ikea Considering Full-Service Restaurant/Store In NoVA: Report
The Swedish home goods retailer recently filed an application to open a full-service facility in Northern Virginia, reports say.

CHANTILLY, VA — Ikea, the international home goods retailer, has its eye on a new location in Northern Virginia to open a full-service restaurant/store, according to news reports.
The Swedish company filed an application with Fairfax County for an Ikea Chantilly located at 4320 Chantilly Shopping Center, which is home to the Dulles Expo Center, according to the Washington Business Journal.
The application sought approval to build a 142-seat restaurant that would be open year-round and serve 101-400 patrons per day, according to WBJ's reporting. However, the application was quickly withdrawn.

"Though Ikea has yet to acknowledge the potential of a Chantilly outpost of any kind, an official Ikea document that details how to invoice the company’s U.S. locations lists an Ikea store at 4320 Chantilly Shopping Center," according to WBJ.
