Public Hearing On Proposed Reston Library, Affordable Housing Planned

RESTON, VA — The Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority will hold a public hearing to discuss building a new library and creating affordable housing in Reston.

The hearing is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Sept. 15 at the Fairfax County Government Center, Conference Room 11, county officials said.

According to Fairfax County officials, the public hearing is on the proposed interim agreement with Foulger-Pratt, LLC for the development of property in the Hunter Mill District at the intersection of Bowman Towne Drive and Town Center Parkway.

The developer is looking to create affordable residences for low-income households and a new Reston library pursuant to the Public-Private Education Facilities and Infrastructure Act of 2002, county officials said.
