Reston Association: Board Calls For Special Meeting About Reston Comprehensive Plan

(Posted Feb. 22, 2022) There will be a special meeting of the Reston Association Board of Directors on March 2 to discuss draft amendments to the Reston section of the Fairfax County Comprehensive Plan. Reston residents are encouraged to participate in this important virtual town hall meeting which begins at 7 p.m. on Zoom. Hunter Mill District Supervisor, Walter Alcorn, will be in attendance and providing an update on the proposed amendments.

The plan, which is updated every five years or sooner under state law, serves as a guide for the county Board of Supervisors, the Planning Commission and others in the decision-making process. The current plan was adopted in 2017 by Fairfax supervisors and includes general countywide land use and transportation guidelines, and other related policies. It also includes more specific area plans that are defined by geographic areas within the county.
