RESTON, VA -- A Reston children's entertainer known locally as "Mr. Knick Knack" has been arrested on child pornography charges, police say.

Steven Rossi, 58, faces 10 counts of felony possession of child pornography after Fairfax County Police detectives received a tip, police said in a report.

Detectives found "numerous files containing illicit images," and police arrested Rossi on April 30, the report states. Rossi posted bail May 2 and has a June 11 court appearance scheduled.

"Preliminarily, our investigation does not indicate that Rossi had contact with any of the children in the images," the report states. "However, detectives are encouraging anyone with information to come forward. If you believe your child or family member may have had contact with Rossi, please call our Major Crimes Bureau at 703-246-7800."

Rossi has performed numerous times for children in Northern Virginia as "Mr. Knick Knack."

He performed every Monday morning at Reston Town Center last October, according to DullesMoms.com.
