Truck Strikes Bridge At Reston Parkway, Toll Road; Closures Ongoing
A truck struck the bridge at the ramp from Reston Parkway to the Dulles Toll Road Monday morning, causing extended closures.
RESTON, VA — A truck traveling southbound on Reston Parkway to the eastbound entrance ramp to the Dulles Toll Road in Reston struck the bridge on Monday morning, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The crash forced the closure of the left lane of southbound Reston Parkway at the Dulles Toll Road around 12:30 p.m.
"We have bridge maintenance and inspection crews on scene determining the extent of the damage," Alex Liggitt, VDOT's communications manager for the Northern Virginia, told Patch."The left lane of southbound Reston Parkway will remain closed as well as the southbound entrance to the Dulles Toll Road."

No injuries were reported due to the truck strike.
"At this time, we are expecting an extended closure," Liggitt said.
