Reston Student Participates In 'Electropop Opera' At Emerson College

A theatre major from Reston recently worked on Emerson College's production of "Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812."

BOSTON, MA — Matthew Guerber, a theatre major from Reston, participated in the Emerson Stage's production of "Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812." The show was presented from April 18-20 at the Cutler Majestic Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts.

A member of the Class of 2025 at Emerson College, Guerber served as the production's co-assistant director.

"The Great Comet" is an "electropop opera" inspired by a portion of Leon Tolstoy's "War and Peace." The musical was written by Dave Malloy, directed by M. Bevin O'Gara, and featured music direction by Sariva Goetz and choreography by Christopher Shin.
