Police Find Sexual Assault Suspect Hiding In Clothing Rack At Reston Store

A man charged with sexual battery of a child was found hiding in a clothing rack at a Reston Target store, according to Fairfax Co. police.

RESTON, VA — A man charged with sexual battery of a child was found hiding in a clothing rack at a Reston Target store, according to Fairfax County Police.

Fairfax County Police arrested 24-year-old Jonathan David Bavon of an undetermined address for sexually assaulting a victim inside the store on April 14, according to authorities. The incident took place at the store located at 12100 Sunset Hills Road.

Investigators determined Bavon had inappropriately touched a victim inside the store. Police found Bavon hiding inside one of the store’s clothing racks.

He was then taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with aggravated sexual battery of a child under 13, simple assault, and obstruction of justice.

Police also served Bavon with an outstanding warrant.

Davon was arraigned in Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on Wednesday and has an initial hearing date scheduled for July 10, according to court records.

On April 11, 2022, Davon was arrested on a misdemeanor indecent exposure charge, which the prosecutor later declined to prosecute, according to court records.
