Squatter Discovered In Reston: Police

Police say a man was discovered living in a vacant Reston apartment.

RESTON, VA -- A man was arrested after being discovered squatting in a vacant apartment in Reston, police say.

Police were called to an apartment complex in the 1800 block of Oracle Way on Feb. 15 just before 6 p.m. after the property manager reported a man living in a vacant apartment, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.

"Officers found the man and confirmed he was not a resident," the report states.

Police arrested 23-year-old Michael Spruill on charges of unlawful entry and destruction of property.
