Thursday Dance Nights Return To Lake Anne Plaza In June: Free

RESTON, VA — While residents of Reston have numerous places to enjoy outdoor performances this summer, the Lake Anne and Washington Plaza Merchant Association is providing a venue where the audience can get up and dance.

Lake Anne Live Thursday Dance Nights will be returning to the plaza starting on June 6, offering free weekly concerts with music and dance with local dance instructors.

The dance nights will take place on the waterfront at Lake Anne Plaza, which is located at 1609 Washington Plaza in Reston.

  • June 6: Salsa Night! Learn how to dance the popular Salsa dance with famed instructor and DJ David Norton from 6-9 p.m.
  • June 13: Swing Night! Gottaswing’s Sue and DJ Gary! Basic swing lessons followed by classic big band tunes mixed in with your '50s and '60s rock & roll favorites and more from 6-9 p.m.
  • June 20: Salsa and Bachata Night! Learn to dance the popular Latin dances with instructor and DJ David Norton and dance the night away from 6-9 p.m.
  • June 27: Swing Line Dance! Learn Swing Line Dancing, including the always popular Charleston Stroll with Gottaswing’s Sue and DJ Gary! DJ Gary will be spinning your favorite tunes from the '40s, '50s and up from 6-9 p.m. Requests considered.
