Bystander Injured In Shooting Between Vehicles In Alexandria
Police say the victim who was shot during the altercation is hospitalized in stable condition.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A bystander was hospitalized after being shot during an altercation between two vehicles Sunday, according to Alexandria Police.
Around 3:20 p.m., police responded to a report of shots fired in the unit block of South Reynolds Street. Police investigations found two suspects left the 7-Eleven store and approached their parked vehicle. One suspect took a gun from the vehicle and fired shots at the occupants of another vehicle, police say. The second suspect fired shots at the other vehicle as it drove away.
During the incident, a bystander was shot. A good Samaritan took the victim, a 26-year-old Alexandria woman, to the hospital. The victim is in stable condition with life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The suspects had fled the scene but were later arrested by Alexandria Police. Three suspects have been charged. Maurice Turner, 18, of Alexandria, was charged with malicious wounding by mob, use of firearm in the commission of a felony, concealed weapon, shooting missiles into an occupied vehicle, and unlawful discharge of a firearm. Damonte Martin, 21, of the Lincolnia area of Fairfax County, was charged with malicious wounding by mob, use of firearm in the commission of a felony, concealed weapon, shooting missiles into an occupied vehicle, and unlawful discharge of a firearm. Donovan Copeland, 20, of Alexandria, was charged with malicious wounding by mob and concealed weapon.
