Carjacking Of DASH Vehicle Leads to Arrest In Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A carjacking of a DASH vehicle Thursday led to an arrest and charges, according to Alexandria Police.

Police responded around 9:55 p.m. Thursday to a carjacking at Quaker Lane and Duke Street. Officers found the vehicle stopped after hitting another vehicle in the road.

The suspect was arrested on scene. Lorenzo Johnson, 33, of Alexandria, was charged with grand larceny auto, drunk in public, driving while intoxicated, accident hit-and-run property damage, and other traffic-related charges.

There were no injuries reported. Police do not believe a weapon was involved.
