ALEXANDRIA, VA — A driver has been charged in a fatal February crash involving multiple vehicles and injuries, according to Alexandria Police.

After four months of Alexandria Police attempting to locate the suspect, warrants were obtained for Carlos McKethan, 42, a non-city resident. McKethan was arrested by Fairfax County Police on June 22 and transferred to Alexandria Police custody the next day. He is charged with DUI and involuntary manslaughter and taken to the Alexandria Adult Detention Center to be held without bond.

The crash just before midnight happened in the 3200 block of Duke Street and involved five damaged vehicles. One person was killed, one person had critical injuries, one had serious injuries and two had minor injuries, police say.
