Fatal Shooting Of Brother In West End Alexandria Leads To Arrest
Alexandria Police have charged a man in his brother's fatal shooting that happened early Monday.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria Police have arrested a man in the fatal shooting of his brother in the West End Monday. This was Alexandria's fourth homicide of 2022.
Around 1:56 a.m. Monday, police responded to a report of shots fired in the 1400 block of N. Beauregard Street. Police found the victim dead with what appeared to be an upper body gunshot wound. Officers and medics attempted to revive the victim with no success.
The victim was identified as Jonathan Cruz Villafuerte, 24.

Police arrested the suspect, Enoc Cruz Villafuerte, 22, on scene. He was charged with second degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. A police spokesperson confirmed the suspect and victim were brothers.
