Powerball Jackpot Balloons to $400 Million

The Powerball jackpot has grown to a staggering $400 million, the third-highest amount ever for the lottery game.

There were no jackpot winners Saturday, which means the next scheduled drawing is Wednesday. 

Each time the game rolls over to a next scheduled drawing, it expands by a minimum of $10 million, reports CNN.

The record Powerball jackpot was $590.5 million, which was won in May by a Florida woman.

Powerball tickets can be purchased at area 7-Elevens, many gas stations and grocery stores. In the West End, a few local retailers include:
