When Does School Start in the City of Alexandria?

Alexandria City Public Schools students attending Mount Vernon Community School and Samuel W. Tucker—which operate on a modified calendar—return to school on Thursday, Aug. 1.

The first day for all traditional calendar Alexandria City Public Schools is Tuesday, Sept. 3.
