2 Northern Virginia Food Trucks Named To Yelp's Top 100 List

VIRGINIA — Whether you're craving smoky barbecue or a fresh slice of pizza, Northern Virginia is home to two of the nation's top 100 food trucks, according to a new ranking compiled by Yelp.

On Tuesday, Yelp released its ranking of the best food trucks based on the online reviews of more than 58,000 spots across the United States. The list's purpose is to identify diners' favorite food trucks nationwide and ultimately crown a winner.

To do this, Yelp identified businesses in the food truck category and ranked them using "a number of factors," the company said.

These are the two Virginia food trucks that earned a spot on this year's list:

Dave’s Dogs, Woodbridge (No. 95)

According to the business's Yelp page, Dave's Dogs serves up hot dogs with all the fixings, pulled pork BBQ sandwiches, chicken salad sandwiches, french fries and drinks.

What Yelpers say: "When you are craving delicious hot dogs with a plethora of toppings, wonderful, friendly staff who don't mind talking to you while your meal is being assembled, then Dave's Dogs is the spot for you."

Tacos El Chilango Food Truck, Arlington (No. 98)

Tacos El Chilango is a cash-only taco truck serving Mexico City-style al pastor, lengua and other favorites.

What Yelpers say: "Best Taco in Arlington. Always consistent, always reliable. El Chilango, hands down, has the best tacos you will find in this area. I am from LA and I really love an authentic taco. El Chilango is it!"

Hawaii had the most food trucks on this year's list, with 25 of the top 100 trucks hailing from the Aloha State. Top-state status also goes to California (22 spots), Oregon (15) and Texas (15).
