80 Runners and Walkers Honor Quincy Conner at 5Q Run/Walk

The late Quincy Conner, a beloved Woodbridge resident and family man, inspired the race, which raises money for college scholarships.

The Quincy Conner Foundation held its second annual 5Q Run/Walk on Nov. 2 at Lake Ridge Middle School in honor of Woodbridge resident Quincy Conner, who died suddenly of a heart attack in 2005. He was only 28.

"The Foundation’s mission is to raise education dollars, awarded in the form of college scholarships through various events and award two scholarships annually to high-school students who lost a parent due to heart disease providing them an opportunity to attend college and achieve their own goals," said Quincy Conner Foundation spokesperson Heather Finney. "The funds raised as a result of the 5Q will go directly towards these scholarships."

Top male winner Dennis Billings of Woodbridge and top female winner Dawn Cleary of Charlottesville each took hope a $100 gift card to the VA Runner store, a tropy, and a certificate. To see full race results, visit TQCF.com. And check out race day pictures
