Beating Suspect Arrested In Triangle: Police
A man who beat a female passenger late last month in Triangle has been arrested, according to Prince William County Police.

TRIANGLE, VA—A man who beat a female passenger late last month in the area of Joplin Road and Jefferson Davis Highway was arrested Wednesday, according to Prince William County Police. Jevante Malcolm Garner, 26, of the 8000 block of Powderbrook Lane in Springfield, was charged with abduction and malicious wounding.
Shortly before 1:30 a.m. Dec. 27, police began investigating a reported assault. The woman, 27, said she was a passenger in a vehicle being driven by Garner, an acquaintance. They were in an argument that escalated, during which he punched her in the face several times. Garner eventually pulled over and fled the area. The woman, meanwhile, was seriously injured and drove herself to a nearby hospital, where she contacted police.
