Boston Marathon Explosion Puts DC Communities, Nation on Alert
Two dead, more than 125 people injured near finish line in large annual event. Five Woodbridge runners participated in the event.
A tragic Boston Marathon explosion Monday near the finish line has the nation and the DC area once again on alert for terrorist acts.
At least three people were killed in the blast and more than 125 people were injured, according to The Boston Globe. Several news outlets reported that one of those killed was an 8-year-old boy.
