Dumfries Shootout Leaves Several Homes, Vehicles Damaged By Bullets
Police said a 21-year-old man was exiting his parked vehicle when he was approached by two masked men. That's when the shootout started.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — The Prince William County Police Department is looking for two masked men wanted in connection with a shootout that left one person injured as well as several homes and vehicles riddled with bullets early Wednesday morning.
Around 2:50 a.m., officers said they responded to the 3000 block of Pony Ridge Turn in Dumfries to investigate a shooting.
Police said a 21-year-old man was exiting his parked vehicle when he was approached by two masked men.

During the encounter, police said the men pulled out a gun toward the victim. As the victim retrieved his own gun, the suspects began shooting at the victim.
Police said the victim returned fire and the suspects fled in a dark-colored sedan that was parked nearby.

No injuries were reported, police said.
While checking the area, officers said they located multiple homes and vehicles that sustained damage during the exchange.
Officers also located several shell casings on the ground in front of a home.
Police said the only suspect descriptions provided were two Black men approximately 6 feet tall.
