Fire Engulfs Main Building At Nursery In Woodbridge: UPDATED

WOODBRIDGE, VA—The main building at Meadow Farm Nursery became fully engulfed in flames and ultimately burned to the ground late Thursday night at 14135 Jefferson Davis Highway, according to the Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department. Route 1 was closed in both directions while firefighters battled the blaze, which was brought under control in about 30 minutes.

Shortly after 11 p.m., units responded to the scene. Firefighters had to take a defensive position because of downed power lines and the ferocity of the fire. The Fire Marshals office is investigating the cause.
