Holiday Marketplace With Small Businesses Planned Outside Woodbridge Hospital
Woodbridge residents can shop small and local, as a farmers market operator will host an outdoor holiday marketplace.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — There will be a new holiday tradition coming to Woodridge as Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center hosts a holiday marketplace in its parking lot.
Long Family Markets will host an outdoor holiday marketplace in the hospital’s main parking lot at 2300 Opitz Blvd. in Woodbridge on Thursday, Dec. 4, and Thursday, Dec. 11, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. That comes after Long Family Markets opened a seasonal farmers market in outside the Woodbridge hospital earlier in the year.
"As the holiday season approaches, the community is invited to enjoy a new festive tradition: a Holiday Market featuring handcrafted gifts, seasonal treats, and holiday cheer," said Jeff Joyner, president at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center.

At the holiday market, shoppers will find small businesses' locally-made and small-batch holiday gifts, such as baked goods, gourmet foods, handmade soaps and body care, woodcrafts, jewelry, seasonal décor, winter produce and more. Long Family Markets is a veteran-owned and family-owned business based in Stafford County. Its weekly farmers market ran on Thursdays from June through September.
"The markets emphasize the importance of supporting small businesses, especially during the holiday season when every local purchase makes a meaningful impact," said Robin Long, owner of Long Family Markets. "Shopping local doesn’t just fill your gift list — it strengthens the heart of our community."
