WOODBRIDGE, VA—A man was arrested Monday after breaking into a home last weekend and stealing, among other things, two guns in the 1500 block of Forest Lane, according to Prince William County Police. Akeem Rashaud Williams, 23, of the 1400 block of Cottonwood Court in Woodbridge, was charged with burglary, grand larceny and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Shortly after 8:30 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the scene for a reported burglary in progress. Both a neighbor and the homeowner said two unknown males were seen running from the residence. Police found that a rear window had been shattered, after which entry was made. Reported missing were two guns, money, jewelry, a jacket and ammunition.

Police, who found that one of the males seen was not involved, obtained a warrant for Williams. Evidence of the burglary was found at his home, and the two stolen guns were eventually found in the area of Woodside Drive.
