Homeless Man Assaulted, Robbed In Woodbridge: Police

Authorities are looking for a man who assaulted and robbed a man early Wednesday at a homeless camp in Woodbridge, according to PWC Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—Authorities are looking for a man who assaulted and robbed a man early Wednesday at a homeless camp in the 14400 block of Jefferson Davis Highway, according to Prince William County Police. He's described as Hispanic, possibly named "Oscar," in his early 30s, 6-0 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, black shoes and a black baseball cap with a flower on the front.

Around 3 a.m., police went to the scene for a reported robbery. A 50-year-old man said he was sleeping when he was approached by an unknown man, who then whacked him in the face. He then took the man's wallet and cell phone before fleeing on foot.

Minor injuries were reported, and a police K-9 unit searched the area to no avail. Anyone with information is urged to call police at 703-792-6500.
