WOODBRIDGE, VA—A man was arrested Saturday night after assaulting a woman and preventing her from leaving a home in the 4600 block of Whitaker Place, according to Prince William County Police. Tasnim Tareque, 34, of the aforementioned area, was charged with abduction and domestic assault and battery. He was being held without bond.Shortly after 8:15 p.m., police responded to the scene for a reported domestic incident that occurred earlier that afternoon. The woman, 33, said she and Tareque—a family member— were involved in an argument that escalated. He prevented her from leaving several times, and at one point, he grabbed her and assaulted her.The woman eventually was able to break free from Tareque and flee the home before contacting police.
