Women Draw Guns on Man After Setting Up Computer Sale Online

The victim arranged to sell a computer over Craigslist, but the women tried to rob him instead.

Two women tried to rob a man who had planned to sell them a computer, Prince William County Police said.

Police responded at 3:30 p.m. Saturday to the report of a robbery. The 28-year-old Gainesville man had made arrangements through Craigslist to sell the laptop at the 15800 block of Corwin Place in Dumfries. Once he arrived, two unknown women pulled out handguns and demanded that he hand over property, according to police.

The victim and the women began to struggle, and they fled in their newer model, red Jeep Cherokee. They did not take any property and no one was injured.
