Mob Assault Reported Near Veterans Park

The victim had significant injuries from the assault, according to Prince William County Police.

A group of men assaulted a Woodbridge man early Wednesday morning near Veterans Park, Prince William County Police said. 

Police responded at 5:31 a.m. to the incident, which occurred earlier that morning near Featherstone Road and Sycamore Street in Woodbridge. A 24-year-old Woodbridge man reported that he met a group of men near Veterans Park and they assaulted him. They knocked the victim to the ground and went through his pockets, but nothing was stolen. 

The group dispersed after the assault, but the victim was significantly injured. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Police provided the following descriptions of the suspects:

  • White male, 18-19 years old, 5'10", 140 pounds, with short brown hair, brown eyes, thin build and unshaven face. Wearing dark jeans and black hooded sweatshirt
  • Black male, 50-55 years old, 5'10", 150 pounds, gray hair, brown eyes, goatee, thin build. Wearing dark sweatpants and a T-shirt
  • Black male, 25-30 years old, 6 feet, 170 pounds, thin build, short black hair, goatee, brown eyes. Wearing a gray pullover hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
  • Black male, 20-25 years old, 5'10", 150 pounds, thin build, brown eyes, long black deadlocks, unshaven face. Wearing a T-shirt and dark pants. 
  • White male, 25-30 years old, 5'9", 140 pounds, thin build, brown eyes, long black curly hair, goatee. Wearing a black and yellow coat and blue jeans.
