Recent Burglaries: Painting, Gaming Consoles, Sneakers Stolen

Four recent break-ins and thefts at Eastern Prince William County homes.

All information taken from the Prince William County Police Department's daily report:

A homeowner in the 18400 block of Kerill Road in Triangle reported the recent loss of a $2,000 painting. Police responded on March 17 at 2:37 p.m., and found no signs of forced entry into the house. The homeowner told police that the burglary happened between 8:20 a.m. on March 15 and 12:25 p.m. on March 17.

A homeowner in the 14600 block of Balsam Street in Woodbridge reported the recent loss of an iPod and other property, worth about $250 in total. Police responded on March 17 at 6:10 p.m. and found no signs of forced entry into the house. The burglar most likely got in through an unlocked door. The homeowner told police that the burglary happened between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. that same day.

A homeowner in the 14300 block of Shetland Court in Woodbridge reported the recent loss of two gaming consoles, a computer monitor, several pairs of sneakers, and other property, worth about $2,200 in total. Police responded on March 14 at 5:28 p.m. and found no signs of forced entry into the house. The homeowner told police that the burglary happened between 6:20 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. that same day.

A homeowner in the 3300 block of Canton Court in Dumfries reported the recent loss of a $1,000 laptop. Police responded on March 14 at 3:32 p.m and found no signs of forced entry into the house. The burglar most likely got in through an unlocked window. The homeowner told police that the burglary happened between 7:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. that same day.
