A Dale City resident hid in her bedroom as burglars ransacked her home, according to Prince William County Police.  On June 5 at 3:25 p.m., police responded to the 14700 block of Barksdale Street, where a resident of the home reported a burglary. She told police that she was upstairs in her bedroom when she heard a noise, then the sound of voices on a lower floor. The men entered the home through a rear sliding glass door, which they had broken out. Once they were inside, the men ransacked the house while the woman hid. The men left the residence after a short time, but did not appear to have taken anything. Police do not believe the incident is random.
