Police initially responded on March 23 at 9:49 p.m. to the report of a domestic on March 20 at the above address.

"The victim, a 38-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim, knocking her to the ground," Perok said. "The accused then got on top of the victim and continued assaulting her. Following the assault, the accused took the victim’s cell phone and keys to prevent her from leaving or contacting help."
