5 More Early Voting Sites Open For Primary Election In Prince William County
Five additional early voting sites opened ahead of the June 17 primary election in Prince William County.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Five more locations joined the Prince William County Office of Elections and Voter Registration as early voting sites in the June 17 primary election. Prince William County has Republican and Democratic primaries.
The Democratic races will determine nominees for lieutenant governor and attorney general. Democratic and Republican nominees for governor are already set — Democrat former Rep. Abigail Spanberger and Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears. Republican nominees for lieutenant governor and attorney general are set — John Reid and incumbent Jason Miyares, respectively.
Democratic candidates for lieutenant governor are Levar Stoney, Babur Lateef, Aaron R. Rouse, Victor Salgado, Ghazala Hashmi and Alexander Bastani. Attorney general candidates are Shannon Taylor and Jay Jones.

The Republican primary is for Virginia House District 21 in western Prince William County, but it's only open to voters within that district. Candidates are Gregory Lee "Greg" Gorham, Sahar S. Smith, and Xanthe M. Larsen. The current representative for the district is Democratic Del. Josh Thomas, who is running for re-election.
All registered voters can vote in either primary election, as Virginia does not register voters by party.

Early voting opened on May 2 at the Office of Elections in Manassas. Starting on June 7, five additional locations opened — A.J. Ferlazzo Building in Woodbridge, Brentsville Courthouse in Brentsville, DMV Woodbridge in Woodbridge, Dumfries Community Center in Dumfries and Haymarket Gainesville Library in Haymarket. An acceptable form of ID is required to vote in person.

For voters completing a mail-in ballot, the deadline to request one is 5 p.m. on June 6. Voters can apply through the Virginia Department of Elections website or download a paper application and return it to the Office of Elections by mail (9250 Lee Ave Suite 1, Manassas, VA 20110), fax (703-792-6461) or email (pwcvotes@pwcgov.org).
To vote on the primary election day, head to your assigned polling place from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17. Check your registration status and polling place on the Virginia Department of Elections citizen portal. An acceptable form of ID is required to vote in person.
The deadline for voter registration or updating your address was May 27, but same-day registration is available. Same-day registered voters through the election day will cast a provisional ballot.
