Shoe Giveaway, Other Back-To-School Savings Planned At Potomac Mills

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Woodbridge's Potomac Mills outlet mall is gearing up for the new school year with a shoe giveaway and other discounts.

From July 25 to Aug. 3, the outlet mall will host its Back-to-School Shoe Giveaway campaign with the chance to win a free pair of shoes. Among the 40-plus participating businesses are JDSports, Champs Sports, Nike Clearance Store, Adidas Outlet and Crocs.

From 10 a.m. on July 25 through 6 p.m. on Aug. 3, shoppers can enter to win a free pair of shoes as part of the center’s Back-to-School Shoe Giveaway campaign. One winner will receive a free pair of shoes. Entries will be accepted at the mall management office. There is also a contest to win one of two $200 gift cards.

From Aug. 1 to 3, shoppers can purchase eligible clothing, shoes, school supplies and more without paying sales tax. That's part of the statewide Virginia sales tax holiday. Potomac Mills is offering a coupon book for additional savings.

Teachers can also score ongoing discounts at 20-plus retailers to prepare for the new school year. A valid school ID is required when making a purchase. Participating stores are Adidas Outlet Store, Ann Taylor Factory Store, Auntie Anne's, Banana Republic Factory Store, Books-A-Million, Calvin Klein, Cole Haan (July 24 to Aug. 27), Columbia Factory Store, Crocs, Hey Dude, JCPenney (July 21 to Aug. 3), Kate Spade, Levi’s Outlet Store, Nautica, Oakley, Puma Outlet, Tommy Hilfiger, Under Armour Factory House, Vera Bradley Factory Outlet and Vineyard Vines.
