TRIANGLE, VA—A man was arrested May 24 after assaulting a woman, threatening her with a gun, and then breaking the phone of someone trying to call authorities at a home in the 18900 block of Fuller Heights Road, according to Prince William County Police.

Kevin Cordell Hill, 55, of the aforementioned address, was charged with malicious wounding, brandishing a firearm, domestic assault and battery, preventing the summoning of law enforcement and destruction of property.

Around 6:30 a.m., police responded to the scene for a reported domestic incident. A 51-year old woman said she and Hill—a family member—were involved in an argument that escalated. That's when Hill pushed her down, got on top of her and began hitting her. She was able to free herself and went to another room before Hill retrieved a gun and pointed it toward the woman.
