5-Year-Old Rescued from Edmonds Pool

The 5-year-old boy's uncle performed CPR on him, saving him from drowning in an Edmonds pool July 24, according to The Everett Herald.

A 5-year-old boy nearly drowned in an Edmonds pool July 24,  according to The Everett Herald.

The child's uncle pulled the unconscious boy from a pool at 75 Pine Street and performed CPR, the report said. During his trip to the hospital, the boy reportedly became responsive and started talking.

This is the second near-drowning in Edmonds this summer. The first was in June when an unconscious 3-year-old girl was taken to Harborview Medical Center after being pulled from a pool at a private residence in Edmonds.

The toddler was not breathing when medics arrived, but first responders were able to revive her before she was transported to Harborview.
