Good Samaritans Help Stop Attack Outside Edmonds Apartment Complex
Police say two men came to the aid of a 19-year-old woman as her 21-year-old ex-boyfriend attacked her in a parking lot early Tuesday morning.

Two men came to the aid of a 19-year-old woman as she was being attacked by her ex-boyfriend outside an Edmonds apartment complex early Tuesday morning.
Police say the incident began at around 2:20 a.m. when the man, 21, and woman arrived at the Park Ballinger Apartments on 76th Avenue West in a car with their 15-month-old child.
Nearby residents called 911 after hearing the woman scream for help, and two men came to her assistance when they saw the suspect swing an unknown object at the woman as she lie on the ground covering her child, police said.
The suspect was injured as he tried to keep the other two men from helping the woman, police said, but they were eventually able to lead her away from the parking lot to a safe area.
The suspect was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. No one else was hurt in the incident.
The two other men were detained at the scene for a short time while police gathered information. Sgt. Mark Marsh said investigators are still gathering evidence, and charges have yet to be filed in the case.
