Artillery/Mortar Training At JBLM This Week
Residents in the area can expect increased noise around the base between Jan. 22 and 27.
JOINT BASE LEWIS MCCHORD, WA - Residents near Joint Base Lewis McChord may hear late-night artillery training on base this week, beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday. The training is scheduled to continue through midnight Sunday.
Three JBLM-based artillery units will conduct training using 155mm Howitzer artillery, and 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm mortars between Jan. 22 and 27. The training will take place both day and night, officials said.
