Artillery Training At JBLM Ends Friday Night
The training event involving two units using artillery and mortars will continue through 11 p.m. Feb. 8.
JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, WA - Two units at Joint Base Lewis-McChord are conducting day and night training with artillery and mortars this week. Residents near the base are advised to expect increased activity and noise.
Training began Monday, Feb. 4, at 5 a.m. and will continue through Friday, Feb. 8, at 11 p.m. The training period will include the use of 155mm Howitzer artillery as well as 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm mortars.
