Cat Killed In House Fire Off Gravelly Lake: West Pierce
West Pierce Fire & Rescue crews battled a residential fire in the 6500-block of 127th Street Southwest Monday morning.

LAKEWOOD, WA - One cat was reportedly killed in a residential fire near Gravelly Lake in Lakewood Monday morning. Residents and commuters are advised to avoid the area around Gravelly Lake Drive and Nyanza Road southwest while crews finish extinguishing the blaze.
West Pierce Fire & Rescue crews were dispatched just after 11 a.m. April 15 to the fire in the 6500-block of 127th Street Southwest. All human occupants of the home reportedly escaped without injury.
West Pierce announced its crews gained control of the fire around 11:45 a.m.
