I-5 Ramp Closures Near JBLM This Week
Drivers should expect overnight ramp closures between DuPont and JBLM both Tuesday and Thursday night, WSDOT officials said.

JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, WA - In addition to increased Washington State Patrol activity north of State Route 512 this week, on- and off-ramps around Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) will also be closed during overnight construction work Tuesday and Thursday evening.
According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, northbound traffic on Interstate-5 between DuPont and JBLM should plan ahead for extra travel time while maintenance crews complete pothole repairs.
Work is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m. Feb. 26 and continue through 4:30 a.m. Feb. 27.

During that time, crews will close both I-5 northbound on- and off-ramps at 41st Division Drive, as well as the I-5 northbound exit to the Mounts Road weight station, the Center Drive on-ramp to northbound I-5, the northbound I-5 exit to Steilacoom-DuPont Road, and the two northbound I-5 lanes from the Mounts Road weigh station to the Pendleton overpass.
Southbound traffic on I-5 will find all freeway exits open through DuPont. Likewise, the Steilacoom-DuPont Road on-ramp to northbound I-5 will also remain open.

On Thursday, crews will close both northbound I-5 on- and off-ramps at 41st Division Drive between 9:30 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. March 1.
