JBLM Provost Marshal To Hold Public Safety Town Hall
Have questions about traffic, security or crime prevention? Here's an opportunity to get some answers.
LAKEWOOD, WA — Joint Base Lewis-McChord has announced an upcoming live town hall event with JBLM's Provost Marshal, hoping to address community concerns around public safety.
The Provost Marshal Office is the Army law enforcement and access control organization, responsible for addressing the needs of JBLM's commander and civilian communities.
The Provost Marshal's event will be held Friday, Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. Interested community members can watch the event online by visiting JBLM Emergency Services' Facebook page. Because the event is a "live town hall" attendees will be encouraged to ask the Provost Marshal their own questions by posting them in the comments section of the Facebook live.

JBLM says the Provost Marshal expects to discuss several concerns including traffic safety, neighborhood security, and crime prevention.
One issue that is likely to come up is the recent increase in abandoned vehicles left around or near JBLM. Just this August, the JBLM Provost Marshal launched a new "Abandoned Vehicle Initiative", asking the public to help report vehicles that have been ditched around the base.
