Overnight Fire In Lakewood Destroys Several Apartments
The Red Cross has volunteered to assist the displaced find housing.

LAKEWOOD, WA — Several renters have lost their homes after a fire at a Lakewood apartment complex early Tuesday morning.
West Pierce Fire & Rescue first reported the blaze just after 3 a.m. Tuesday, saying that a building in the 4400 block of 106th St Ct SW had caught fire. The building was fully evacuated and no injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire — and full extent of the damages — are both unknown, but firefighters say multiple units were damaged enough that the residents inside will need to find new places to stay. The American Red Cross Northwest has been called to help the displaced find temporary shelter.
