Public Memorial For Mike Carrell Set For Monday in Olympia
The memorial will follow a Washington State Senate ceremony honoring the Lakewood Republican, who died May 29.

A public memorial for longtime 28th District Sen. Mike Carrell is scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday at the state Capitol in Olympia.
The Lakewood Republican died May 29 after complications from treatment he was receiving for a blood disorder. He was laid to rest Wednesday during a small, private ceremony attended by family and close friends.Â
Carrell’s wife, Charlotte, and members of their family are expected to attend Monday, and the Washington State Senate is scheduled to adopt a resolution honoring Carrell and his nearly 20 years of public service.
