Rail Crossing Malfunctions Fixed Along 100th, 108th
Lakewood police alerted drivers to malfunctioning rail crossings along 100th and 108th streets southwest Tuesday morning.

LAKEWOOD, WA - Train signal malfunctions at the crossings along 100th and 108th streets southwest, nearest Lakeview Avenue Southwest, left the crossing arms briefly inoperable during the Tuesday morning commute. Sound Transit reportedly fixed the problem around 8 a.m., roughly 45 minutes after Lakewood police first announced the malfunctions on Twitter.
Lakewood police first alerted driver to the malfunctions just after 7:15 a.m. Jan. 29. Initially the arms were stuck down, which caused considerable backups, police said. The arms were later lifted manually after Sound Transit was contacted.
The crossings along 100th and 108 streets southwest are separated by about a half-mile.

Lakewood police around 8 a.m. sent a tweet notifying drivers that Sound Transit had resolved the crossing arms issue.
According to #SoundTransit, all crossings are now operational.
