Suspect Captured Mid-Burglary: Lakewood Police

Officers say that when they responded to an alarm late Monday, they found a suspect "actively crawling" out of a window.

LAKEWOOD, WA — The Lakewood Police Department is reporting an easier-than-usual arrest, after their officers reportedly stumbled upon a burglary suspect in the act late Monday.

According to the police department, a pair of officers had been out on a routine patrol Monday night when they heard an alarm coming from Advance Auto Parts on Pacific Highway.

When they pulled up to investigate, the officers say that not only did they immediately notice that the store's front window had been smashed in— there was a suspect crawling right out of it.

Officers quickly placed the man under arrest. After he was booked, they also determined he also had five outstanding felony warrants for other burglaries.
