No Foolin' — April 1 Seahawks 12K Means Morning Road Closures
More than 3,000 runners expected at Seahawks 12K run at The Landing on April 1. What for street closures.
No foolin' — the 2012 Seahawks 12K Run will take place at The Landing on Sunday, April 1.
The run will start at 9 a.m. at The Landing. Participants will run along the southeast shore of Lake Washington, offer runners a unique opportunity to run around the Seahawks training facility, the Virginia Mason Athletic Center, and then finish back at The Landing.
The event will also feature the GLOW 5K Run/Walk that will also start at 9 a.m. and tour The Landing and surrounding Renton neighborhoods, as well as the Seahawks Play 60 Kids Run that starts at 10:30 a.m.

The Seahawks 12K Run is a fundraiser for A Better Seattle (ABS). Led by Head Coach Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks, ABS is designed to create a culture of safety and peace by reaching at-risk youth and reducing violence in our communities. IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT STREET CLOSURES:
- Northbound and southbound Lake Washington Blvd. N. will be closed between N. Park Drive and I-405 (near Seahawks Way) from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. Local circulation between minor intersecting streets and driveways will be allowed, where possible, only when it does not jeopardize the safety of the runners.
- Southbound Park Avenue N. will be closed between N. Park Drive and N. 4th Street at 8:30 am and will reopen at approximately 11:00 am.
- Logan Avenue N. will be closed between N. 3rd Street and Park Avenue N. at 8:30 am and will reopen at approximately 11:00 am.
Take into consideration the street closures and need for runners' safety, so plan accordingly.
