
will award $28,000 in scholarships to 16 deserving students on Wednesday, May 16 at 4 p.m. in the Commons.
“The Foundation Board voted to increase the amount of money awarded this year in order to help more students achieve their educational goals,” said Lynn Bohart, Executive Director of the Foundation.
Last year the Foundation awarded more than $22,000 in scholarships.

This year's awards will be given from the Dolores Gibbons Scholarship Fund (to a student pursuing a career in education); the Carl & Betty Rochet Scholarship Fund (to a student pursuing a career in communications); the Jeremy Gidlund Scholarship Fund (to graduating high school special needs students); and the Helen Dyrdal Scholarship Fund (to college undergraduates, graduates pursuing a career in a helping profession, and students enrolled in a certification program).
